Becoming an authorized SeaWiFS user:
In order to download and use SeaWiFS data one needs to obtain authorization. This is a two step process. First you will have to become an 'Authorized SeaWiFS Data User', then you need to request a password to actually be able to download the website. Both steps can be initiated from NASA's OceanColor Web.

For this purpose go the OceanColor Web homepage, and click on the Register for Support Services link. Under the SeaWiFS Authorized Users caption you will find the link to the online application to become an authorized user.

Make sure you enter correctly mailing address because the password will mailed to that address and not emailed. The email address you provide will be your future login and mode of comminication with the data center.

After you receive the authorization by mail, you can proceed to step 2: requesting the password for downloading data. The request form can be found on the OceanColor Support Services webpage (the same page as where the link to the online application was located). Happy downloading!
